Awesome weekend

To say that this was an awesome weekend would be an understatement! Fantastic training, no line-ups, sun, what more could we ask for?! Congrats coaches on delivering the first official weekend of league! Congrats to the red team at their race on Sunday!

A reminder that Payroll is due very soon, please get in on the blog and submit your hours. I was reminded that I didn’t include the # of hours to be submitted for JHL,- coaches please enter 4.5.

I will be back tomorrow at some point with a weekly update. For all coaches who are working High School Racing. Can you please meet me in the clubhouse for 6:30pm.

Thanks everyone

have a great night!

How do I submit my hours???

Great Question!

You will notice that under the blog header- there is a newly added tab labelled “Payroll”. Once you click on it, you will notice a form that you will be required to fill out at the end of each pay period. Under Docs to go, you will notice a schedule of when each payroll is due and must be submitted. I will be posting some reminders through the blog and through my weekly updates but please remember that it is your responsibility to submit ALL of your correct hours on time. If you have any questions about the form or the process, let me know.

Thanks

emilie

Online Pay Statements

Hey Everyone,

I have added a new document to the Docs To Go page. It is instructions on how to set up online Pay Statements. It is very easy and does not take long. This will mean you will no longer have to track down Emilie or wait until the next training day to get your pay stub. It will arrive in your inbox before you even get paid.

Please try and set this up as soon as possible, you will need a paper copy of one of your previous pay stubs to get your employee number etc.

This will make everyone’s life easier!

Cheers.

Update, start of week 4

Hi everyone

Congrats again on a job well done to all the MHRC teams this weekend- we again achieved some pretty amazing results! Hats off to coaches and athletes for doing such a great job! Keep it up guys. So we are hitting the mid point- this is usually when we start getting tired and start “slacking off” so let’s keep up the momentum. Please continue to email your coordinators/managers your start list way ahead of time (i.e. latest on Monday evening of the week before) to spare them the energy and effort of going after you. Continue to keep your teams informed of what equipment to bring for training during the week as well as details for the weekend’s race. A reminder, that evals are due this week, they MUST be looked at by your team leader before being handed out (NG- Kent, K1- Brook, K2-Ian and J- Rick). If you need help with these, look at my previous post for more info.

Here’s this week’s udpate:

Monday night (tonight)- Appleby College Training (Ian, Scott & Connor?)- Full SL course from 5-7pm on race hill. Coaches interested in some extra training, please meet me on snow for 7pm at the top of the race course for re-set and please stick around until the end to help with teardown.

Tuesday night- TNT- Full gate SL on old T-Bar Lane and GS full gate on Race hill, set-up crew- Ian, Kyle and Scott?

Wednesday night- K2/J Training- SL and GS full course on race hill

Thursday night- K1/NG Training- 2 hills- GS on Boomerang (FULL Gate) & PAN SL and stubbie SL on race hill (2 HILLS)- set-up crew Chloe, Tyler + Scott?

Friday– away training- SL for K2/J. If you are registered please meet at the chalet at the base of Moonstone for 8:30am. we need to arrange lift tickets, etc… Training will wrap-up around 3pm. Coaches are myself, Rick and Ian.

Saturday- the only groups home is JHL- coaches and apprentices meet Will and I at the gate cabana for 8:30am for set-up. We will also set full gate SL for JHL coaches and apprentices interested in some extra gate training:)

Sunday– White team is home and we are hosting a K2 GS for group 7- if you are available and would like to come and volunteer yourself to gate keep that day, we would really appreciate it as we are low on helpers with all other teams away racing.

That’s all folks and to wrap-up; I leave you with Developing GS turn technique using S Turns that Rick sent us, enjoy.  Oh and a gentle reminder that I will be entering payroll tomorrow evening so please make sure it is all in for the past 2 weeks of pay! thanks!

rewind that last thought…

1. pay stubbs will be at the hill on Thursday night, so if you are not back at the hill until next week and you want to make sure that you were paid what you were owed last pay period (before submitting your hours on Monday night for next week’s pay)… send me an email and I’ll email you what I submitted for you.

2. RUTS race was cancelled for this weekend- thank you to those who offered to help out. will be postponed until the end of the season, Tuesday #9 for TNT in March. more details about this coming your way shortly

Let’s hope for more snow to cover up the rain’s damage:)

Paystubbs

I will bring the ones I have and leave them in a plastic bin in the clubhouse on Tuesday evening. Please, please and please remember to find yours and take them home! thanks!

Payroll Follow-up

As discussed last evening with the NG and K1 coaches, it is your responsibility to check if you are getting paid, I submit your payroll sheet and the conservation Halton HR department sets up your direct deposit. Please make it your mission to check every 2 weeks to see if you have been paid, this way if there is a problem- we can deal with it in a timely fashion. Thanks for your cooperation on this.

Payroll

a reminder that ALL hours from Dec 30th up to and including Jan 12th should be filled out by Tuesday Jan 11th 12noon. Thanks for your help in ensuring that hours are filled out on time, makes my job wayyy easier! also, if you know that one of your co-workers isn’t all that great with checking the blog, be a pal and let them know too.
