Uniform Return & More

Hi Coaches!

Hope everyone has had a fantastic March Break! I look forward to seeing everyone at the banquet this weekend; March 31st at the Gambrel Barn!

I am taking this opportunity to let you know of the uniform return dates, for those of you who do not check the GE blog regularly, here is the information that was posted today:

We will be accepting uniforms for return at the following times:

Wednesday March 28th – 5:00 to 7:00 pm – A FRAME

Saturday March 31st – 10:00 am to 12:00 noon – A FRAME

Sunday April 1st – 12:00 noon to 3:00 pm – A FRAME

Staff are asked to return their uniform, name tag and tip connectors (if issued) to the A-Frame in the same condition as it was issued to them.

Your Credit Card impression slip that was taken at the time of sign out will be DESTROYED unless you contact us in advance in order to request it.

Weekly Update: March 5, 2012

Hi everyone!

First off, hope you all had a fantastic weekend! Thanks to all the coache and athletes that came out on Saturday to the Family fun race! Despite strong winds and less than ideal conditions- I think everyone had a great time! A special thank you goes out to the coaches who worked that day and came out bright and early to set the course and ensure that the morning ran smoothly!

Second, thanks to all of you that have already returned your radios in to Randy! For those of you with outstanding radios- you know who you are and I believe Randy has already emailed you. Please make sure that all radios make their way back into his hands!

Uniform return: I know many of you have been asking about this. I am not sure yet when this will take place but I will make sure to communicate this with you as soon as I hear.

A few reminders:

  • confirm your attentance at the banquet via Louise- mentioned in previous post. I want to re-itterate that coaches do not pay for attending! I hope to see you all there.
  • If you have evals for racers that missed the last practice, please scan and email them out. if you do not want to email them out yourself, please let me know or go through your manager/coordinator as they have everyone’s emails.
  • Your coaching evaluations will be coming to you from now and before the banquet. Thanks for your patience as we wrap-up what has been another busy season!
  • Hours are due by tonight via the blog!

This week!

This week marks week 9 of the TNT program. Coaches working set-up crew; please set a GS down our regular lane and a full gate SL down t-bar lane. The adults will be running the courses and then enjoying a pot-luck shortly thereafter.

Did you drive to any of your team’s races?

If so, you have until the end of the next pay period to fill out this Form with your information, save “as” it on your own computer and email it back to me as an attachment.  ALL expenses must be sent to me before March 23rd or else, they will not be able to be processed for the season. Do not include the KM’s as I will google map these from GE (which is standard practice) and ensure that all KMs match hill locations for everyone. Please be honest and fair and only bill the club  for races that you drove to with your own car. Expense cheques will be handed out at the banquet. If you have any questions, send me an email

award nominations

Every year, it is always a struggle to get award nominations for all awards being presented at the banquet. I strongly believe that us coaches have a better eye for noticing these athletes that are deserving of a nomination since we see them all in action as coaches, volunteers and racers so I encourage all coaches to complete “at least” one nomination this year. Please do your best to accomplish this. It is rather hard when meeting with the awards committee to decide on award winners without enough nominations so your help would be most appreciated.
